MOOT ACHIEVEMENTS

Mooting is the premier co-curricular activity in Law schools throughout the country and the world. We at NLUO, Cuttack have a very organized and systematic approach to mooting which has led to amazing results in previous years and continues till date. Teams representing the University have regularly Won or been finalists at prestigious moot court competitions across the country. Some of the noteworthy performances in the previous and current academic year are as follows:-

    • Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot Court Competition 2023: The team comprising Nikhil Javali, Rishi Saraf, Vanshika Sharma and Vinamra Kothari has been adjudged as the Quarter-finalists in the World Rounds of Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot Court Competition 2023
    • 13th CCI-HNLU Justice Hidayatullah National Moot Court Competition 2023: The team comprising Alan John, Nandini Dwivedi and Soumya Pradhan has been adjudged as Runner’s Up in the 13th CCI-HNLU Justice Hidayatullah National Moot Court Competition 2023.
    • ICC Moot Court Competition 2023 (ICCMCC): The team comprising Aditya Dash, Madhulika Tripathy, Mohit Chand, Srutee Priyadarshini and Suryansh Mohanty has been adjudged as Semi-finalists in the India Rounds of the ICC Moot Court Competition 2023 (ICCMCC).
    • 8th NLIU – Justice R.K. Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot 2023: The team comprising Gyanesh Mishra, Palak Bhawsinka, Sagun Modi and Vaibhav Kashyap has been adjudged as Runner’s Up in the 8th NLIU – Justice R.K. Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot 2023.
    • 6th NLU-D International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot 2023: The team comprising Bhabesh Satapathy, Kanishk Kaushik, Nakshatra Gujarati, and Vishesh Bhardwaj has been adjudged as Semi-finalists of the 6th NLU-D International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot 2023.

Additionally, the team also bagged the citation of the Best Memorial.

  • 14th NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, 2023: The team comprising Ansruta Debnath, Aditi Sinha and Shubhangini Rathore has been adjudged as Winners of the 14th NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, 2023. Additionally, Aditi Sinha was also awarded with the citation for the Best Student Advocate in the final oral rounds.
  • 16th Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition 2023: The team comprising Ananya Gudihal, Chitrangda Saini, Kumar Atul and Maulsree Srivastava has been adjudged as Semi-finalists in the South Asia Regional Rounds of the 16th Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition 2023.
  • 24th D. M. Harish Memorial Government Law College International Online Moot Court Competition 2023:  The team comprising Jahnavi R Bhattathiripad, Nivedita Shaktawat and Shivansh Sharma has bagged the citation of Second Best Memorial in the 24th D. M. Harish Memorial Government Law College International Online Moot Court Competition 2023.
