About SURAVI, Soumya (Ms.)

Soumya Suravi joined NLUO as a Visiting Faculty in August 2022. Prior to that, she was working as a Guest Faculty recruited under the RUSA program at the PG Department of English, Utkal University for 1 year and 7 months. She taught MA degree covering a range of courses like British Literature (Drama, Poetry, Prose), American Literature (Prose and Poetry), World Literature, Research Methods and Methodology, Communicative English, Travel Narrative, Literary Criticism and Theory.   She has qualified NET in English with a score of 99.79 percentile. She has completed her MPhil in English Literature at Rama Devi Women’s University in the area of Ecocriticism on the topic “Man v/s Nature: A Study of Ecoprecarity in Amitav Ghosh’s Gun Island”, where she held the first rank in the university. She pursued her Masters in English from Rama Devi Women’s University, where she was awarded as the Gold Medalist in 2018.   She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in English (Hons) from Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta in 2016. Since then, she has presented several papers at both National and International conferences.
